Product news

At Janis, we continue to innovate to optimize every aspect of your business. In September, we added these new features to our platform. These enhancements are designed to increase efficiency, reduce costs and provide a flawless shopping experience for your customers. Below, we'll tell you more about each of them.

Push notifications

Push notifications have arrived to transform your internal operations. These intelligent alerts offer multiple advantages such as improved efficiency, reduced time, automation, and more.

Currently, these notifications are enabled for modules of Picking, Delivery and Pick Up, improving visibility and coordination at every stage of the logistics process.

  • Delivery: To announce to a Driver that they have been assigned a route to deliver.
  • Picking: To announce to a Picker that he has been assigned a round to prepare.
  • Pick Up: To announce to store or warehouse users that a customer has announced themselves to pick up an order.

Calculation of the ETA

Accurately calculate and report the ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) of your shipments. Estimate the time of arrival at the destination, this will allow you to plan your operations more efficiently and improve the experience of your customers.

An accurate ETA allows companies and customers to better plan operations and/or the reception of goods. It's also a key tool in optimizing the supply chain, minimizing delays, and ensuring that logistics resources (such as transportation and warehouses) are used efficiently.

Simulation of Post Picking promotions

The recalculation of promotions for an order once it has been picked allows an improvement in the customer experience by ensuring that the customer is not overcharged and/or that specific promotions are applied to it.

This functionality is essential for several reasons:

  • Product availability: If a product is not available during picking, promotions that depend on a minimum amount or quantity may be affected.
  • Replacements or changes: When replacing products, the order value and the applied promotions must be recalculated to reflect the changes.
  • Compliance with conditions: If a product needed for a promotion wasn't picked, the order might not qualify, and an adjustment would be needed.
  • Customer Experience: Recalculating promotions ensures that the customer receives the correct price and avoids surprises at the time of delivery.
  • Inventory Integrity and Pricing: Changes in availability or promotions require a recalculation so that the final price reflects the current order conditions.

Inventory Control Module

Maintain full control over your products with the new Inventory Control Module. Monitor your stocks in detail, forecast demand and optimize stock levels to avoid stock-outs.

The lack of adequate control can have significant repercussions, such as lost sales due to lack of products, increased costs due to unnecessary storage, and a poor customer experience. On the contrary, proper and efficient inventory management not only ensures that the business has the right products at the right time, but it also helps to optimize operations, reduce costs and increase customer satisfaction.
